These pictures were taken on two visits with my father to a small area south west of the Standen National Trust House.  On the first visit the weather was not good.  It was thankfully dry but very damp and overcast.  This area was a place my father had visited a number of times 15 or 20 years earlier to paint.  Given the weather conditions I decided to take my 35mm slr and just be free and easy with any inspiration that came and was not really expecting much to come from it.  These are the best images from that roll of film.

Then about a month later we both returned.  The weather was much better and I took my medium format camera and I took some more images.  Here are the results from that trip.
